Objective

Uzum Market is the largest marketplace in Uzbekistan, characterized by high brand awareness and large-scale advertising activity. As the brand’s popularity grew in the digital space, fake accounts and advertisements began to appear frequently, using the Uzum Market logo, corporate identity, and visual elements without authorization.

 

The Admixer Advertising team initiated the implementation of a brand protection tool for Uzum Market, researching the latest Meta solutions and adapting global best practices for local clients.

 

The project’s primary goals were:

 

  • protect the Uzum Market brand from unauthorized use in Meta advertising
  • promptly identify fake creatives and advertisers
  • minimize reputational and legal risks
  • establish a systematic process for monitoring and blocking violations

Solution

To address these challenges the Meta Brand Rights Protection system was implemented.

 

1. Brand Onboarding

 

We handled the technical setup of the tool:

 

• verified Uzum Market as the official rights holder
• uploaded official brand assets: logos, name variations, and domains
• specified official ad accounts and Business Managers
• configured a list of authorized advertisers

 

2. Meta’s Automated Detection

 

Brand Rights Protection utilizes Meta’s automated systems, including:

 

• computer vision to recognize logos within creatives
• ad text analysis for brand mentions
• domain matching
• algorithms to identify behavioral patterns typical of scam accounts

 

3. Interface Management and Moderation

 

Once a violation is detected, the dashboard displays:

 

  • the violator’s creatives
  • ad copy
  • the landing page domains
  • advertiser data

 

Following Meta’s review:

 

  • the ad is taken down
  • in many cases the advertising account is restricted

Results

We established a regular monitoring and submission process, moving from one-off reports to systematic protection.

 

The Meta Brand Rights Protection tool continues to regularly identify unauthorized brand usage, allowing Uzum Market to proactively protect its users and its reputation.
